Basketball Game Preview: Anderson County Bulldogs vs. Burlington Wildcats

Anderson County is 1-9 against Burlington since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Anderson County Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Burlington Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Anderson County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Jayhawk Linn to the tune of 73-31. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Burlington entered their tilt with Prairie View on Friday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 67-27 win over the Buffalos. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Buffalos are ranked 290th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Anderson County's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Burlington, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.

Anderson County came up short against Burlington in their previous matchup back in February, falling 59-52. Can Anderson County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
