Given Community Health Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Esperanza Preparatory Academy is ranked 740th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Columbia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They skirted past City College Academy of the Arts 55-53.

Community Health Academy pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.0 points per game. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
