Basketball Game Preview: Lyman Greyhounds vs. Deltona Wolves

Having just played yesterday, the Lyman Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the Deltona Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lyman is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Lyman lost 38-18 to Trinity Prep on Monday.

Despite the defeat, Lyman saw an underclassman step up: freshman Samara Oldham posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deltona). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging an 86-6 win over Crooms Academy. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Deltona's win came from a few key players Lyman will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Frantashia Williams, who had 26 points. Another player making a difference was Camora Pate, who put up 18 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Deltona and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Lyman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Lyman took a serious blow against Deltona when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 45-4. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lyman was down 30-2.
