Volleyball Recap: Mt. Bethel Christian Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Dominion Christian Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 15-10.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bree Benich, who had 12 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Rogers, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Dominion Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against St. Francis on the 9th. As for Dominion Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Holy Innocents Episcopal on the 9th.
