Softball Recap: Jay County Patriots vs. Delta Eagles

Jay County strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Delta Eagles with a sharp 16-3 victory. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Carley Trinidad made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Trinidad was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jozey Shimp and Hallie Schwieterman did most of the damage at the plate: Shimp scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Schwieterman went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.
