Volleyball Game Preview: Brandon Bulldogs vs. Gulfport Admirals + Official Tickets

Brandon is 7-1 against Gulfport since August of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Admirals at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Brandon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Biloxi as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Brandon not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Biloxi between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.

Brandon found their leader in freshman Lynnon Rhodes, who had 14 digs and four aces. Rhodes has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Meanwhile, Gulfport got the win against Northwest Rankin on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Admirals in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

While Gulfport won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-17.

Gulfport's victory bumped their record up to 26-14. As for Brandon, their win bumped their record up to 29-8.

Brandon beat Gulfport 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Admirals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
