Softball Game Preview: Jac-Cen-Del Eagles vs. Edinburgh Lancers

The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles will square off against the Edinburgh Lancers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Jac-Cen-Del has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jac-Cen-Del fell victim to Rising Sun and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Shiners, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Edinburgh played against Southwestern on Wednesday and won via forfeit.

The victory was the third in a row for Edinburgh, bringing their record up to 15-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jac-Cen-Del, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
