After losing to Maple Hill the last time they met, Watervliet decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Watervliet Cannoneers walked away with a 40-32 victory over the Maple Hill Wildcats on Tuesday. That eight point margin sets a new team best for the Cannoneers this season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Maple Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Coming up, Watervliet will take on Cobleskill-Richmondville at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Cobleskill-Richmondville's defense has only allowed 29 points per game this season, so Watervliet's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Maple Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-30 victory against Chatham on the 7th.
