Softball Game Preview: Butler Aviators vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

The Butler Aviators will take on the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Butler has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Butler lost 14-4 to Piqua on Monday. The Aviators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jami Brockert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaz Whitman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe entered their tilt with Stebbins on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 12-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Red Devils have won by exactly ten runs.

Butler's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Tippecanoe, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Butler couldn't quite get it done against Tippecanoe in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 11-6. Can the Aviators avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
