Baseball Recap: Bessemer City Comes Up Short on the Road Against Pleasant Grove

Bessemer City kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 13-3 to the Pleasant Grove Spartans. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 21 in a row.

G Brown stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. M Hoyd was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases.

The win got Pleasant Grove back to even at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bessemer City will face off against Center Point at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pleasant Grove, they will challenge Midfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
