Volleyball Game Preview: Northeast Lauderdale Trojans vs. Union Yellowjackets

The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans will face off against the Union Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Northeast Lauderdale saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newton County. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Northeast Lauderdale saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Brown had eight digs. Makayla Gilland also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Union waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 2-0.

Union easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9.

Northeast Lauderdale's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Union, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Northeast Lauderdale couldn't quite get it done against Union in their previous meeting on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
