Riverdale came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-3 to the Island Coast Gators. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Brycen Childers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Carlos Ayala also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Riverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Island Coast, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will challenge Bonita Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonita Springs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Island Coast, they will square off against Palmetto at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Island Coast is facing Palmetto at the right time seeing as Palmetto is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
