Volleyball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nevada Cubs.

Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Nevada, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Newton will be playing at home against Norwalk at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Cedar Falls on the 13th.
