It was a good run, but DC International unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They lost 9-2 to the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders.

Matthew Metcalf made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Carlos Ferman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

DC International's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Riverdale Baptist, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Coming up, DC International will square off against Maret at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Riverdale Baptist, they will take on Southern Maryland Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight.
