Softball Recap: Llano Takes a Loss

Llano lost against Blanco last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Llano came up short against Blanco, falling 17-2. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Llano saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilie Clopton, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Llano's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Blanco, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Llano will take on rival Florence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Blanco is set to square off against their familiar foe Brady at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Blanco's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Brady has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
