Volleyball Recap: Weber Extends Winning Streak to Five

Weber entered their tilt with Morgan on Thursday with four consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans.

Weber had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-19.

Weber was led to victory by Scarlett Smith and Tesyn Stewart. Smith had five digs and two aces, while Stewart had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Stewart has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Weber was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Weber's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Morgan, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weber will venture away from home to face off against Clearfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgan, they will take on Mountain Crest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
