Volleyball Recap: Jackson Day Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Jackson Day lost against Corvian Community back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mariners lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mariners were not able to get on the board.

Jackson Day was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Corvian Community work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-16.

Corvian Community can attribute much of their success to Peyton Church, who had 12 digs and three aces. Church is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Corvian Community, their record is now 3-1.

Coming up, Jackson Day will venture away from home to take on Sugar Creek Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mariners are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Corvian Community, they will welcome Langtree Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
