Volleyball Recap: Elwood Falls Despite Big Games from Brianna Rangel and Averi Savage

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Elwood lost 3-0 to Eastbrook. Elwood has struggled against Eastbrook recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

Elwood's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Averi Savage, who had 19 digs, and Brianna Rangel, who had eight digs. Journey Crawford also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Elwood's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Eastbrook, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Elwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Clinton Central on the 15th. As for Eastbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Oak Hill on the 11th.
