Baseball Recap: Bay Comes Up Short

Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-3 to the Greene County Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the fifth time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 7-3 defeat on Saturday.

Bay's loss dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Greene County, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bay will head out to take on Poplarville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greene County, they will face off against Richton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.94 runs per game on average), something Greene County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
