Softball Recap: Foothills Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Madison

There's no place like home for Foothills Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Madison Warhawks a 10-0 shutout on Friday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by eight runs or more this season.

Emma Romeka made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Romeka was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reese Winchester, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Foothills Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Madison, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothills Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Francis Parker at 4:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Madison, they will welcome Canyon Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
