Baseball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

After flying high against Evansville Reitz on Monday, Washington came back down to earth. The Hatchets came up short against the Southridge Raiders on Tuesday, falling 13-2. The Hatchets have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Southridge, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6.

Washington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Forest Park on the 1st. As for Southridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-2 victory against Pike Central on the 1st.
