After both having extra time off, the Kings Christian Crusaders and the Alpaugh Buffalos will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Kings Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

Kings Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Wonderful College Prep Academy just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 7-6.

Caiden Irwin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Carter Revious was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Alpaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch back in March as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-4 to Kings Christian. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Buffalos' highest-scoring contest to date.

Richard LUNA made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Carlos Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Alpaugh's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Kings Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Kings Christian took their victory against Alpaugh in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 21-4 score. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Buffalos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
