Football Recap: Bellefonte Sets Scoring Season-High Against Richland + How To Watch

Bellefonte scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 33-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richland Rams. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Rams are ranked 104th).

Quinn Park and Ashten Howell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Park rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries, while Howell picked up 67 receiving yards and one TD.

A big part of Richland's win came down to the chemistry between Jacob Regan and his top target Jamere Christian. Regan rushed for 44 yards and one score while Christian picked up 93 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Bellefonte's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Richland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bellefonte is set to face off against their familiar foe Bellwood-Antis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Kaven Smith-kirk and Alex McCartney. Meanwhile, Richland will square off against rival Bedford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
