Softball Game Preview: Bay City Blackcats vs. Sweeny Bulldogs

Bay City is 1-9 against Sweeny since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Blackcats will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bay City is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against Brazosport, falling 11-1.

Meanwhile, Sweeny fell victim to El Campo and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Ricebirds. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Ricebirds recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Bay City's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Sweeny, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything went Bay City's way against Sweeny in their previous meeting back in March, as Bay City made off with a 21-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
