Volleyball Recap: Daniella Obando and Kaleigh Nagata Secure Win for Gateway Christian + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Gateway Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Fuqua Falcons on Tuesday. Gateway Christian was shut out 3-0 the last time they took on Fuqua, so Gateway Christian was just returning the favor.

Gateway Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-11, 25-17, 25-18.

Gateway Christian was led to victory by Kaleigh Nagata and Daniella Obando. Nagata had nine digs and three aces, while Obando had eight digs and two aces. Nagata has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last nine times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Gateway Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.

Gateway Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Fuqua, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Looking ahead, Gateway Christian will take on Denbigh Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fuqua does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
