Basketball Game Preview: Caverna Colonels vs. Washington County Commanders

The Caverna Colonels will venture away from home to square off against the Washington County Commanders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Caverna has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Caverna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 83-31 win over Fort Knox. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Washington County posted their closest win since February 14, 2025 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Green County 71-69. The victory was some much needed relief for the Commanders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Washington County's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Caverna, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Everything came up roses for Caverna against Washington County in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, as the squad secured a 77-48 win. Do the Colonels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Commanders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
