Softball Recap: Lancaster Tigers vs. DeSoto Eagles

Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to the DeSoto Eagles.

Raegan Petry and Kelsea Patton stepped up to the plate in a big way. Petry scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Patton scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most hits Petry has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jourinee Dillard, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for DeSoto, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-1 defeat against Horn on the 28th. DeSoto has also already played their next match (against Mesquite), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
