California's high school boys basketball state playoffs continue this weekend.

Among the most anticipated matchups comes in the Open Division, where No. 16 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth) meets Harvard-Westlake (Studio City) in the regional semifinal round Saturday night at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast by the NFHS Network.

The winner advances to face either Mater Dei (Santa Ana) or Etiwanda, who meet in the other southern regional semifinal.

Led by top prospects Brandon Boston, Jr. (Kentucky) and Ziaire Williams, Sierra Canyon (28-4) rose above a crowded field in the Southern Section Open Division playoffs. The Trailblazers beat Mater Dei 59-48 in the final.

Sierra Canyon has been followed intensely by national media this season with the arrival of freshman Bronny James (LeBron's son) and senior Zaire Wade (Dwyane Wade's son).

But the two-time defending state champions have performed admirably under the microscope, beating teams from seven states outside of California and winning 10 of their last 11 down the stretch.

Harvard-Westlake (25-6) showed what it's made of by beating Centennial (Corona) – who reached as high as No. 6 in the national rankings this season – twice in the last three weeks.

Brase Dottin scored 22 points and Mason Hooks added 19 on Wednesday in Harvard-Westlake's 63-55 win over Centennial in the quarterfinals.
