Basketball Game Preview: Chaska Hawks vs. Jefferson Jaguars

The Chaska Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Jefferson Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Chaska's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 contests.

Last Friday, Chaska was able to grind out a solid victory over New Prague, taking the game 61-53. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Trojans are ranked 260th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Jefferson came up short against Orono on Thursday, falling 78-52. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Chaska, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Chaska came up short against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-56. Can Chaska avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
