Preview: Augusta Southeastern Suns vs. West Prairie Cyclones
Augusta Southeastern is 6-1 against West Prairie since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Augusta Southeastern Suns will be playing at home against the West Prairie Cyclones at 6:00 p.m. Augusta Southeastern will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Last Wednesday, Augusta Southeastern humbled Bushnell-Prairie City with a 53-25 victory. That looming 53-25 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Augusta Southeastern yet this season.
Meanwhile, West Prairie pushed their score all the way to 63 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Hartsburg-Emden 69-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), West Prairie still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cole Cordell, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Braden Coplan was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Augusta Southeastern's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for West Prairie, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-24 record this season.
