Baseball Recap: Albemarle Comes Up Short

Albemarle and East Wilkes squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Albemarle had to settle for second. They lost 14-0 to the Cardinals. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Albemarle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Jordan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Albemarle's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for East Wilkes, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Albemarle nor East Wilkes have any future games scheduled.
