Basketball Recap: North Hunterdon Takes a Loss

North Hunterdon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the Voorhees Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Vikings are ranked 45th).

North Hunterdon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Voorhees, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

North Hunterdon has already played their next game (against Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Voorhees, they will challenge Holmdel at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Voorhees' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Holmdel has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
