Antelope suffers seventh straight loss on the road

Recap: Antelope Rams vs. Anthem Prep Eagles

This season hasn't been kind to the Antelope Rams, who are still winless after their 11th matchup. They were dealt a 44-8 loss at the hands of Anthem Prep on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Antelope has suffered since December 11, 2023.

Anthem Prep found their leader in underclassman Madi Hatfield, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Hatfield has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Abigail Purvis was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and six blocks.

Antelope dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Anthem Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will face off against Salome at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Salome presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Antelope in Arizona (Salome is ranked 132nd, while Antelope is ranked 309th). As for Anthem Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Mayer at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
