Volleyball Recap: Mountain Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eminence on Monday, Mountain Grove came back down to earth. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Winona Wildcats on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-14.

Mountain Grove's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-13-1. As for Winona, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-1.

Coming up, Mountain Grove will square off against Clever at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winona, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Central on the 11th.
