Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Victories for Twin Falls

Twin Falls proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Jerome Tigers 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Jordan Bingham looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four games.

At the plate, Nolan Lehew was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Twin Falls pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Jerome, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Twin Falls beat Jerome by a score of 6-2 later that day.
