Volleyball Recap: Henry Clay Gets the Win

Henry Clay posted their closest victory since March 28, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Belleville West Maroons 2-1.

Gray Millar paced Henry Clay's offense, picking up 13 kills. Millar got some help from Jonny Pineda and his 25 assists. Cooper Pugh controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Henry Clay is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Belleville West and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Henry Clay has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Althoff Catholic on the 29th. As for Belleville West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Saxony Lutheran on the 29th.
