Basketball Game Preview: Kempsville Chiefs vs. Menchville Monarchs

After both having extra time off, the Kempsville Chiefs and the Menchville Monarchs will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Kempsville is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game last Saturday. They were outmatched by Oscar Smith and fell 72-44. The contest marked the Chiefs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Menchville was beaten by Woodside 83-38 two weeks ago. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Kempsville now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Menchville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Kempsville was able to grind out a solid win over Menchville when the teams last played back in January of 2018, winning 59-52. Does Kempsville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Menchville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
