It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hozho Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Capitan Tigers 4-3. The win was just business as usual for the Wolves, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.

Alysha Skeets spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mia Baca, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Hozho Academy pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.4 runs over those games. As for Capitan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Hozho Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-3 loss against Loving on the 4th. As for Capitan, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-0 victory against Hot Springs on the 4th.
