After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, LaVergne brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Antioch Bears a 12-0 shutout on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won four in a row.

LaVergne's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Antioch, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, LaVergne will take on Smyrna at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Smyrna will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
