Baseball Recap: Atkins Comes Up Short

Atkins lost against Mayflower back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Red Devils took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaden Newell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Ethan Linboom was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Atkins' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Mayflower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-12.

Looking ahead, Atkins will take on Hector at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mayflower, they will face off against Glen Rose at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
