Baseball Recap: Somerset Comes Up Short

Somerset lost against St. Croix Central back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell 6-2 to the Panthers. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Somerset saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Belisle, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for St. Croix Central, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.

While Somerset had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
