Football Recap: Baldwin Braves vs. Westside Seminoles        
        
		
             Baldwin has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 12.33  points allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Monday. They were beaten by the Westside Seminoles 42-0. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings  (they are ranked 150th, while the Seminoles are ranked third).
 Westside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Sade' Reid led the charge by rushing for 73 yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance gave  Reid a new career-high in  rushing yards. Another signal caller making a difference was  Taylor Talton, who threw for 56 yards and two touchdowns.
 Baldwin's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2-1. As for Westside, the  victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will venture away from home to  challenge Mary Persons  on Wednesday. Baldwin's offense hasn't  had much luck over their past five  matchups, but Wednesday's   contest will give them a chance to turn things around. As for Westside, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Southwest at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average, (Westside: 3, Southwest: 12.3) so any  points scored will be well earned.
