Softball Recap: Lancaster Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Lancaster played against Knight on Wednesday and won via forfeit.

The team relied heavily on Carolyn Swaney, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Layla Acosta, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lancaster is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Knight, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.

As of now, neither Lancaster nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
