Basketball Game Preview: Fredericktown Freddies vs. Danville Blue Devils

The Fredericktown Freddies will square off against the Danville Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Danville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fredericktown, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Fredericktown beat Loudonville 47-34. That looming 47-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Freddies yet this season.

Fredericktown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cally Carpenter, who posted 13 points and four steals. Carpenter is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mya Bryant, who earned seven points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-34 loss at the hands of Cardington-Lincoln. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-22.

Fredericktown's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
