Softball Recap: Wilcox RVT Has No Trouble Against Kaynor RVT

Wilcox RVT's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Kaynor RVT Panthers with a sharp 12-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Chloe Enger made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabby Velez, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ashley Stimpson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Wilcox RVT's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Kaynor RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Wilcox RVT will face off against Kaynor Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kaynor RVT, they will challenge Wright Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
