North County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Meade recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Knights will welcome the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North County has three straight wins, Meade has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when North County and Southern meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Knights came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 4-1. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Southern's batters probably weren't too happy with Colin Voss, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up a single walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Logan O'Neil, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Cash Stephenson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meade might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to Southern, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meade's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for North County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

North County took their win against Meade in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
