Volleyball Recap: West Mesquite Comes Up Short

West Mesquite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cleburne Yellowjackets.

West Mesquite may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 14 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14.

West Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cleburne, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, West Mesquite is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Duncanville on Saturday. As for Cleburne, they will take on Benbrook at 5:30 a.m. on Friday.
