Softball Recap: Emmett Comes Up Short

Emmett suffered their closest defeat since May 11, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Middleton Vikings by a score of 3-1. The Huskies have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Oakley Scheibe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

Emmett's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Emmett will face off against rival Vallivue at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Middleton is set to challenge their familiar foe Skyview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
