Soccer Game Preview: Hillcrest vs. Carl Junction

The Hillcrest Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Carl Junction Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hillcrest's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Monday, Hillcrest didn't have quite enough to beat Bolivar and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Carl Junction didn't have quite enough to beat Pittsburg on Monday and fell 3-2. Joshua Helton was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Nolan Couk wasn't going to let Pittsburg walk away unscathed as he scored both of Carl Junction's goals, bringing his season total up to ten goals.

Hillcrest now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Carl Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
