Softball Recap: Mildred Comes Up Short

Mildred lost against Cross Roads last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Bobcats, falling 7-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alena Ware made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Mildred's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Cross Roads, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mildred will face off against rival Frankston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cross Roads is set to square off against their familiar foe LaPoynor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
